Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi praises Kenyan police, describing them as among the most professional and disciplined security forces in the world.

Speaking during the homecoming ceremony of Dr. Amani Komora, Chairperson of the National Police Service Commission (NPSC), in Oda village, Tana River, Mudavadi lauded the officers for their outstanding global record. He noted that Kenya’s police have participated in more than 50 international peacekeeping missions, earning global recognition for professionalism.

Commendation for Global Peace Missions

Mudavadi singled out over 800 officers deployed to Haiti for maintaining order and discipline during their 15-month peace mission. He emphasized that no human rights violations were recorded during the operation, calling it proof of the high standards within Kenya’s police service.

“Our security forces are professional, orderly, and globally respected. We must ensure that these standards are upheld at all times,” Mudavadi said.

Call for Continued Professionalism

The Prime Cabinet Secretary urged Dr. Komora to sustain and improve the standards set by his predecessor, Eliud Kinuthia. He insisted that the commission must continue fostering discipline and excellence within the service.

“You have no option but to ensure that the standards are kept, or even raised higher,” Mudavadi stated.

Peace and Development Appeal

Mudavadi also appealed to residents and leaders of Tana River County to uphold peace, saying it is key to attracting investors and supporting local development. He cited projects like Galana Kulalu, noting they can only succeed in stable environments.

In closing, Mudavadi commended Komora’s leadership. He described Komora’s service as an inspiration to young Kenyans. He called it a symbol of dedication to national unity and integrity.
