Kalonzo Musyoka has revealed that he visited Sammy Kioko at Nairobi West Hospital on Thursday evening in a show of solidarity with the young man and his family during what he described as a deeply difficult and emotional moment.
He explained that his visit was not only a gesture of support but also a personal one, emphasizing that Sammy Kioko holds a special place in his life and is regarded almost like a son.
Kalonzo noted that seeing Sammy in his current condition was painful, but he expressed hope and faith that he will make a quick and full recovery through continued medical care and family support.
He added that moments like these require unity, compassion, and restraint from the public, especially as the family navigates both emotional and physical challenges.

During the visit, Kalonzo also took time to engage with the family, offering words of encouragement and reassurance as they come to terms with the situation.
He emphasized that beyond the public attention surrounding the incident, the immediate priority should remain the health and recovery of Sammy Kioko.
Kalonzo further disclosed that he held a conversation with Wavinya Ndeti, who he said is equally concerned about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
According to him, Governor Wavinya Ndeti is closely following developments and is keen to ensure that the matter is handled in a manner that is both fair and transparent.
He noted that her involvement reflects the seriousness of the situation and the need for accountability, while also safeguarding the dignity of those affected.
Kalonzo stressed that as investigations or discussions around the incident continue, there must be a deliberate effort to avoid speculation, misinformation, or unnecessary escalation.
He called for calm, sobriety, and a disciplined focus on verified facts so that the truth can emerge without being overshadowed by noise or external pressure.
He warned that premature conclusions or emotionally driven narratives could interfere with both justice and the healing process of those directly involved.
At the heart of his message was a strong appeal for empathy, urging the public and stakeholders to respect the privacy and dignity of Sammy Kioko and his family.
He underscored that the well-being of the victim should take precedence over public discourse, particularly at a time when recovery and emotional stability are critical.
Kalonzo concluded by expressing hope that the matter will be resolved in a just, respectful, and transparent manner that upholds both truth and fairness.
He reiterated that what matters most at this moment is ensuring that Sammy Kioko heals in peace, his family is supported, and that the process ahead remains guided by integrity and respect for all parties involved.
