Introduction

Booking an appointment at a Huduma Centre ensures you get services smoothly without long queues. This process is especially needed for certain centres like GPO Nairobi. In this guide you will learn how to register, pick your service, and get your appointment slip. Use it to plan ahead and save time.

Step by Step Guide

  1. Go to the Huduma Kenya website

    • In your browser navigate to appointment.hudumakenya.go.ke.

  2. Register or log in

    • If you are new, click Register / Create Account.

    • Fill in your National ID number, name, phone number, email, and any other required details.

    • You will receive an activation code via SMS or email. Activate your account.

  3. Book the appointment

    • After logging in select Book Appointment from the menu.

    • Pick your service (for example driver’s licence, national ID, certificate services, etc.).

    • Select the Huduma Centre you prefer, date, and time you want.

  4. Confirm and get booking slip

    • Submit your appointment details.

    • You will receive an SMS confirming the date, time and booking number.

    • Print or save the booking slip where possible.

Important Notes & Tips

  • The requirement to book an appointment currently applies to specific Huduma Centres such as GPO Nairobi. Other centres may still serve walk-ins.

  • Ensure your details (ID number, name, phone) match what is on your legal documents. Mistakes may cause delays.

  • Arrive at the centre on the exact date and time of your appointment. Late arrivals might require a new booking.

  • Bring all necessary documents for the service you want (for example ID card, payment receipts, application forms).

FAQs

Q: Can I reschedule my appointment?
Yes. Log into your account at appointment.hudumakenya.go.ke, go to “My Appointment”, select your appointment and choose a new date and time.

Q: Do all Huduma Centres require appointments?
No. As of now only some centres such as the GPO in Nairobi require booking ahead. Other Huduma Centres may still accept walk-ins.

Q: What happens if I miss my appointment time?
You may lose the slot. You will likely have to book a new appointment.

Q: Do I need to print the appointment slip?
It is strongly advised. Some centres may require you to present a hard or digital copy for verification.
